Favourite Dishes from Sarawak, Malaysia

I was born in the town of Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia and even though I have lived more than half my life away from my hometown, I still have many fond memories of the place. I still have many family and friends there visit pretty much at least once a year.

But one of the things I miss most is the some of the dishes that are unique to the state of Sarawak. Here are the top dishes I crave and how handle those carvings as an overseas Kuchingnite.

Sarawak Laksa

You are not a true Sarawakian if you do not love Sarawak Laksa and believe that Sarawak Laksa is the one and only true laksa. Many Sarawakians will argue for hours which kopitiam stall serve the best Sarawak Laksa, an unique rice vermicelli noodle soup dish with a spicy prawn based broth.

Legoland Discovery Centre Melbourne

Legoland Discovery Centre Melbourne

The Legoland Discovery Centre Melbourne is located in Chadstone Shopping Centre. The highlight for adults will definitely be the LEGO display of the City of Melbourne. Note that adults have to be accompanied by a child to be able to enter.

Other than the Melbourne City display, there are kids play areas, an interactive Minifigure building room, 4D cinema, a cafe and a couple of small rides for kids. Of course there is also a LEGO store (free to enter and no child needed).

All in all its a great day out for the kids. Tickets are AUD$32.50 per person per entry and AUD$75.00 for an annual pass. Buy your tickets here.
